❤️ Meet Red, but around our house he’s Beans — as in Red Beans & Rice. 😂❤️ Beans was born October 31, 2025 and is a mix of Coonhound, Beagle, Doberman, and what we believe may be Scottish Terrier. He is neutered and is seriously one of the sweetest, most loving dogs. Beans is great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and LOVES to play. We are unsure how he does with cats simply because we haven’t had the opportunity to see him around them. He is also VERY smart. When someone is home, he knows to jingle the bells on the door when he needs to go outside, and with the right person willing to put time into training him, we really believe he could thrive. The biggest thing Beans needs is SPACE AND ACTIVITY. 🏃‍♀️🌳 He absolutely loves being outside and has a lot of energy. He also struggles with anxious/nervous energy, so we are looking for someone who can give him the physical activity he needs — ideally someone who can run with him, take him on long walks or adventures, or has plenty of safe space for him to run and play. Getting that energy out makes a huge difference for him. He needs a person or family who has the time and patience to properly train him, keep him active, and give his very smart brain something to do. And full disclosure: Beans CHEWS. 😂 He’s still young, and right now he thinks just about everything has the potential to be a chew toy. He’ll need continued training and plenty of appropriate things to keep him busy. We have also tried crate training, but the crate has been difficult for him because of his anxiety and excitement. When we come home, he gets SO excited that he has had accidents through the crate. His new family will need to be patient and willing to continue working with him rather than expecting a fully crate-trained dog. Beans isn’t being rehomed because he’s mean or because he doesn’t love people — quite the opposite. He is incredibly sweet and loving. We simply recognize that he needs more room to run, more physical activity, and more dedicated training than we’re able to give him.
