He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his people and loves to be included in all parts of home life. Sox does not like being alone — he thrives in the company of others and is not suited for crate living or spending long hours outside by himself. He loves walks, playtime, and just being close to someone he trusts. As a guardian breed, Sox is naturally protective, especially with unfamiliar visitors entering the home. In a high-traffic, busy household like his current one (with frequent guests and lots of travel), this protective instinct has become difficult to manage. His ideal home would be calmer and more structured — one where he can feel safe and not overwhelmed. What Sox Needs: • A confident and experienced dog owner (preferably familiar with large, protective breeds) • A home with minimal foot traffic from strangers • A secure, fenced yard for outdoor time • Someone home most of the day or able to include him in their daily routine • No kenneling or extended periods of isolation • A home without small children is preferred (due to his size and protectiveness) Sox is a deeply devoted dog who will make an incredible companion in the right environment.
