Alaqua Assisting Animal Sanctuaries and Shelters Affected by Hurricane Irma
Alaqua Animal Refuge is counting our blessings as we missed the extreme weather that ripped through the state of Florida during Hurricane Irma. Many other animal sanctuaries and shelters across the state have not been as fortunate and Alaqua is ready to help to our neighbors.
Currently, we are working with the Humane Society of the United States on providing hay and relief supplies to over 40 horses in need in Central Florida. Additional calls are also coming in asking for various assistance and we want to do what we can.
