Help the Great Danes

Alaqua Animal Refuge has taken custody of 73 Great Danes that were all involved in a large scale breeding operation. The facility was left abandoned by the owner due to his health. The refuge was contacted by concerned family members when it was discovered that he was no longer there to care for them.

The cost of care is tremendous for these gentle giants. Currently, they are eating more than 150 pounds of food a day, and still need to be micro-chipped, spayed, and neutered before being placed into loving homes. Additional medical care such as rabies shots and heart worm prevention are also being given to them.

Please consider donating today! We appreciate any amount as it will help us provide the medical treatment these dogs desperately need so they can be adopted.
