Jin Shin Jyutsu

A Kindness Kollective Integrative Healing Program

Adele Leas is an internationally known teacher and proponent of Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) for people and animals. This gentle, non-invasive harmonizing Art allows one, through hands-on touch, to balance body, mind, and spirit. Adele has been a practitioner of this Art for humans for over 32 years and has a large practice centered in New Orleans.

Adele pioneered this practice for animals and is the author of Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companion, now in its sixth printing. Adele has clients and has taught JSJ classes for humans and animals for more than twenty-six years throughout the US and Canada, South Africa, Brazil and in 7 European countries.

In 1989 the “gift” of poor health brought JSJ into Adele’s life. She was facing some major health challenges stemming from a weakened immune system and several severe accidents. Responding poorly to traditional medical procedures, she was becoming more and more sickly until being introduced to JSJ as a result of a gift certificate for a session. At the time Adele had never heard of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Adele learned some simple self help exercises after her first session and continues to use them daily. This practice gave her the much needed information that she could heal herself from a state of extreme disease and weakness. That action started her on a life-long learning experience and set her free. Since then self-help JSJ became the vital tool to maintaining her own health.

Adele has worked with Alaqua Animal Refuge for over 12 years. She will offer on-going classes on the basics of Jin Shin Jyutsu human self help as part of the Kindness Kollective. People will experience the profound harmony of the Art when applied to themselves and leave with the ability to continue this practice as part of their daily lives.

We will address issues such as:

  • Using breath and positioning of hands to harmonize attitudes such as Fear, Sadness, Worry and Anger
  • Daily Regenerating Flows to strengthen the Immune, Digestive, Musculature and Elimination systems, among others
  • Daily practices to let go of past trauma and allow one to move forward

Adele will teach one weekend a month, and classes can be taken on an individual basis. The work is cumulative and will deepen with practice. Classes are held outdoors at Alaqua’s new home in our tepees or courtyard, and do require registration in advance. Our address is 155 Dugas Way, Freeport, FL 32439.
*Please note that the Refuge is not open to the public currently, as buildings are still being constructed.
