The most innocent of creatures – the puppy. Alaqua is at double our capacity with 48 of them right now under the age of 10 weeks and with more on the way. These adorable little creatures arrived from various places – abandoned on the side of the road, taken in from backyard breeders, and surrendered too young at local shelters. They were covered in fleas and malnourished, many of them still needing to be bottle fed. They range in size and breed from lab mixes to pit bull pups to these tiny Chihuahua mixes.
